About Pinion
We think small businesses deserve better than the big-name CRMs.
The big-name CRMs (and most tools built in their shadow) were designed for enterprise sales teams: rows of custom fields, workflow builders, admin consoles. A plumber, a solo coach, or a three-person agency doesn't need any of that — they need to remember a client, track a job, and send an invoice. So we built Pinion to do exactly that, and nothing more.
How we decide what to build
Five rules keep Pinion simple on purpose.
- The 80/20 rule
- We only build the 20% of features that get used 80% of the time. Everything else is a distraction.
- Friction is the enemy
- Every click is a small failure. We measure success in seconds saved, not features shipped.
- Mobile-first
- You do the work standing up, on-site, on your phone. Desktop is secondary — always.
- Don't build, integrate
- No email marketing engine, no accounting suite, no calendar rebuild. We link out to the tools that already do those jobs well.
- No custom field hell
- A handful of custom fields, no sprawling relational structures. If it takes a consultant to set up, it's not for us.
Our north star
A plumber finishes a job, moves the card to "Done," and triggers a thank-you email — all in under 30 seconds, while walking back to the truck.
If a feature doesn't help someone get closer to that, it doesn't make the cut.
Who we build for
One data model, three skins — the labels change to match how each kind of business already talks about their work.
- Trades (plumbers, HVAC) — Jobs & Quotes. Killer feature: photo-to-job and an instant invoice PDF.
- Solopreneurs (coaches, freelancers) — Clients & Sessions. Killer feature: gentle reminders.
- Micro-agencies — Deals & Proposals. Killer feature: a visual deal board.
